Join us in-store to celebrate the rich musical melting pot that Americana music encompasses - from roots and bluegrass to early blues, country and folk. From Drive-By Truckers to Johnny Cash, Taylor Swift to Dolly Parton, Wilco to Van Morrison, Creedence Clearwater Revival to the War On Drugs, the influence of traditional American roots music is as relevant today as it was in the mid 19th century Deep South when early folk and gospel musicians shaped the way for the ever shifting landscape that is Americana. One thing for sure is that it may be hard to define, but it's easy to love.
There will be special offers on new and used vinyl plus live music from Godalming's very own The Oddball Band at 2pm.
So dig out your stetson, polish those cowboy boots and mosey on down to Pound Lane for a celebration of Americana music at Record Corner.
