Kiasmos – Ólafur Arnalds and Janus Rasmussen – have invited five trusted artists to completely reimagine their second album, II. Released in July 2024 to critical and fan acclaim, the comeback album took the duo across four continents to sold-out audiences worldwide over the following 18 months.
II Reworked will be released on vinyl and CD on July 3rd, with a digital release date following on August 7th, giving fans the opportunity to hear it on their preferred physical format first. The clear vinyl variant is limited to 1000 copies worldwide.
The two friends entrusted the task to LA-based composers/producers/multi-instrumentalists Rachika Nayar and Nina Keith (AKA Disiniblud), fellow Icelandic composers Kjartan Holm and Sin Fang, and long-time friend and American composer Alex Somers. The result is a sprawling and shimmering trip back through the album’s melodies, with a dream-like haze more suited for after the dancefloor and when the lights have faded.
The entirety of II has been reworked in sequence by the artists, each bringing their own distinctive colouring to the original songs. Nayar and Keith use electronic experimentation to reshape the emotional core, unveiling and highlighting stems that lay in the background of their original forms. Holm and Fang emphasise the simple beauty of the compositions, while Somers, working with analogue studio equipment, detunes pianos and strings and slows the pieces down, allowing the songs to reach new emotional heights.

Cancellation Deadline
To meet the cancellation deadline, kindly notify us of your decision to cancel your order before the 14-day cancellation period expires. You can contact us via email or phone to initiate the cancellation process.
Returning Goods
If you decide to cancel your order, you are responsible for taking reasonable care of the goods while they are in your possession. To complete the return process, send the goods back to our contact address at your own expense - these should be in the condition you recieved them. Exceptions apply if we delivered the item in error, or if the item is damaged or defective.
Cost of Recovery
In case the returned goods are not received within the specified conditions, we reserve the right to charge you for the direct costs incurred in recovering the goods.
Refunds
Once you have notified us of your decision to cancel the order, any payments made will be promptly refunded to you. You can expect the refund to be processed within 14 days of your cancellation.
Items Not Eligible for Cancellation or Return

Forfeiture of Cancellation Right

What is a pre-order?
A pre-order lets you purchase an item before it's officially released. Payment is taken at the time of ordering.
When will my pre-order arrive?
If you order a new release to collect instore, we will notify you as soon as it’s ready to collect - this will usually be on a just after release day
If you have requested deliverey will will aim to dispatch it to you to arrive as close to release date as possible. You'll be notified by email when your order has dispatched.
n.b. Dates may change due to supplier or pressing delays.
Will I be charged immediately?
Yes, payment is taken at the time of placing the pre-order, not at dispatch.
What if my pre-order is delayed?
Vinyl production and shipping can be subject to delays outside our control. We'll keep you updated via email and you can contact us with any questions.
